Role responsibilities
We are currently recruiting for Station Environmental Operative (SEO).
As a Stations Environmental Operative, you will be responsible for providing a clean welcoming environment for all of our customers at our stations, as well as delivering excellent customer service helping our customers with any queries.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
1. Keeping our stations clean and tidy at all times, carrying out cleaning duties including sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning toilets, removing litter and emptying bins
2. Performing minor maintenance tasks around the station when required including fixing/replacing damaged equipment, painting and general gardening duties
3. Helping our customers with any queries and providing excellent customer service
4. Adhering to health & safety responsibilities and regulations
5. Working effectively as part of a team and independently
Who we’re looking for
6. Previous cleaning experience
7. Excellent organisational skills
8. Ability to provide excellent customer service to our customers
9. Ability to work alone and as part of a team
10. Ability to perform manual tasks
11. Knowledge of COSHH is desirable
As a train operating company, we are there for our customers whenever they need to travel – this means that you will be happy to work a variety of shifts, including bank holidays and weekends.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
Transport for Wales supports and promotes the use of the Welsh Language by employees and will encourage them to develop, improve and maintain their Welsh Language skills. We fully support our people who want to improve their Welsh language skills, and personal development for Welsh Language skills are offered in a variety of ways such as online learning, classroom courses and funding attendance at local community courses.
