Region NCE and Global Offshore > Customer Project Execution, NCE > Contract Management Offshore, North & West
The Customer Project Execution Department oversees all wind farm projects from start to final completion. Once a contract is signed, the team assumes full responsibility for the project until all commissioning tests are successfully completed.
Working closely with logistics, procurement, and finance, the team ensures that each project stays on schedule, within budget, and fully aligned with Vestas’ safety and quality standards. They also collaborate with the sales and legal departments to ensure every wind farm delivers the maximum energy yield while meeting all client specifications.
The Contract Management team supports the wider execution organisation by handling all contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Contract Management safeguards Vestas’ commercial interests during the construction of new wind farms, providing proactive commercial and contractual support to the full project team throughout execution. The team ensures alignment with legal, finance and other internal functions to secure safe, timely, high‑quality and budget‑compliant delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the commercial and contractual activities during the construction phase of wind farm projects
2. Advise internal stakeholders on obligations and deliverables under Turbine Supply Agreements and related contracts
3. Oversee proper creation, handling and storage of project correspondence and contractual records
4. Manage the project risk process, including maintaining the risk register and contributing to risk assessments
5. Evaluate potential claim situations, recommend actions, and manage claim‑related correspondence
6. Capture and communicate contractual lessons learned to improve future contracts and processes
7. Support Sales and Bid Management with ad‑hoc commercial/contractual input (e.g., planning principles, extensions of time, cost compensation, weather clauses, taking‑over procedures, rate schedules, payment requirements)
Qualifications
8. Background in Law, Construction, or Engineering, with strong experience in contract interpretation and the issues that arise from them
9. Skilled in negotiation strategy, preparation, and execution
10. Solid understanding of UK construction projects, risk management principles and processes
11. Experienced in handling conflicts and supporting dispute resolution
12. Able to effectively manage and influence internal stakeholders
13. Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder management capabilities
