RESPONSIBLE TO: Senior Practice Nurse, Practice Manager

Main duties of the job
As a Bank Nurse you will support the nursing team with additional hours as needed. Your primary responsibilities include:
* Working in the ophthalmic clinic and ophthalmic theatre, ensuring adherence to all training protocols related to the ophthalmic service.
* Reviewing and assessing cataract patients, undertaking biometry, and acting as a registered scrub practitioner in the operating theatre.
* Performing duties by following established protocols and guidelines.
* Staying updated on all training requirements related to ophthalmic nursing practice.
* Providing other nursing duties as necessary and as relevant to the role.
* Collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
Requirements
* Valid nursing qualification and current registration with the relevant regulatory body.
* Prior experience in ophthalmology nursing and evidence of continuous professional development.
* Strong attention to detail and adherence to best practices in nursing care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
* Flexibility to work variable hours as needed.
