Overview
Assystem is an international company with one mission: accelerate the energy transition around the world. Our 8,000+ employees across 12 countries tackle the task of switching to low-carbon energy, sharing knowledge, expertise and values to innovate for the energy transition.
Job Description
Our two-year Graduate Programme is designed to accelerate your career — giving you exposure to live projects, expert mentorship, and the chance to make a real impact from day one. You’ll benefit from access to mentors and technical experts, peer-to-peer learning through Graduate Forums, a tailored upskilling framework, and rotations across industries, customers and locations. You will gain unique insight into the nuclear industry, with broad exposure initially and more discipline-focused work as you progress, contributing to significant energy projects in the UK.
What We’re Looking For
* BEng / MEng in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic or Power Engineering (or a closely related discipline)
* Enjoy solving tough technical problems
* Curious about how digital design, control systems, and automation shape the future of energy
* Exposure to CAD, BIM, AVEVA or similar tools (or interest)
* Clear communication and teamwork
* Motivated to learn and grow toward Chartered Engineer status
* Bonus: experience or coursework relevant to nuclear, power systems, or industrial control environments
Eligibility Requirements
To join our Graduate Scheme, you must be a UK sole national and a UK resident. You must be able to obtain a minimum BPSS clearance, with some roles requiring higher levels of clearance. You should be willing to relocate or travel within the UK, and relocation support is provided where needed. More information on security vetting and clearance levels can be found on the UK Government site: National Security Vetting: clearance levels.
Application and Selection
After submitting your application, you’ll receive confirmation of next steps. If successful at screening, a recruitment team member will contact you to discuss your application, eligibility, your passion for energy transformation, and your discipline knowledge. Successful applicants will be invited to an in-person assessment centre at a UK office.
We are committed to equal treatment of candidates and to fostering diversity within our company.
