Oakwood is a mainstream secondary school which is inclusive and supports the individual needs of all our students. We have an exciting opportunity for the following support staff to join our friendly and supportive team.


Student Welfare Officer

36 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 4.15pm, Friday 8.30am – 4pm
39 weeks per year
Surrey Pay Grade S4 £21,552 - £23,077 (£25,052 - £26,825 FTE) depending on skills and experience

We are looking to appoint a Student Welfare Officer to join the busy team within Student Services responsible for student health and welfare related issues. This is a vibrant post with variation, full training will be given for this very fulfilling role.

The right candidate will have:

* GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
* Previous administration or childcare experience.
* A proven ability to work on their own initiative.
* A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.
* The ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
* A can-do attitude.
* A commitment to the happiness, well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.
