This role will…
* Report to the General Manager and secure service excellence for our customers.
* Lead and develop teams, deliver operational projects and ensure business targets are met.
* Lead a high performing team to ensure operational excellence and optimum customer experience.
* Support the regional sales through:
o Stock management and accurate reporting
o Excellence in service, both front of house, back of house and delivery
o Executing promotions
* Drive branch initiatives to create theatre within the branch, enhance customer and staff experience and drive sales.
* Stock management: complete monthly cycle counts, control of goods in, waste management, stock take.
* Build long‑term, stable relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
* Monitor service levels so they are maintained and improved.
* Work effectively with the supply chain management team to create efficiencies.
* Contribute to introducing new initiatives and manage the implementation of change.
* Support the ongoing achievement of accreditations – HACCP/SOPS & Health & Safety.
* Resource projection planning in line with budgetary targets.
* Budgeting and KPI analysis and driving ongoing improvements.
* Promote a positive company image through accuracy, knowledge and attitude to the job.
What We’re Looking For…
* 3+ years in a high‑performing management role.
* Experience managing in a high volume/turnover business.
* Excellent people management, customer‑focused and driven.
* Proficiency in KPI generation and analysis.
* Ability to develop solutions in a fast‑moving environment.
* Analytical aptitude and focus on continuous improvement.
* High competency in Microsoft Excel is desirable.
* Ability to manage change and bring colleagues along the journey of change management.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Team player, strategic thinker and leader of people.
* Self‑motivated with a consistent work methodology.
* Transport Manager CPC qualification desirable.
* Qualification in Management and/or Business is an advantage.
