IT Support Technician
Our client, an outstanding IT support firm, provides IT services, telecoms, and document solutions to businesses. They focus on building long-term relationships with customers and operate as an outsourced, best-practice in-house IT department.
They are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to join their friendly team based in Southampton, supporting their small & medium-sized business clients. The successful candidate will demonstrate drive & determination, with a proven track record of successfully addressing IT and communications issues.
Responsibilities
1. Meet established Service Level Agreements or turnaround times
2. Identify, troubleshoot, and document user issues & fixes
3. Collaborate with colleagues and vendors to resolve customer problems
4. Maintain accurate records, including timesheets
5. Keep abreast of emerging technologies and undertake ongoing training
6. Resolve day-to-day IT issues
7. Occasionally travel on-site to resolve issues
Requirements
* Full UK clean driving license
* Minimum 3 years of service desk experience
* Microsoft qualification or excellent knowledge of Microsoft software (Office 365)
* Active Directory knowledge
* Basic networking knowledge (IP Addresses, DNS, DHCP)
* Understanding remote access (VPN & two-factor authentication)
* Understanding of desktop security and anti-virus solutions
* Good understanding of software builds, hardware, and printers
* Excellent communication skills & ability to work independently
Additional Details
Working hours: Monday to Friday, full-time
Holiday entitlement: 20 days plus bank holidays, plus an additional day off on your birthday
