Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship at Rabbit Patch Day Nursery.

At Rabbit Patch, outdoor learning is at the heart of our approach. Children explore our extensive garden and 3-acre private woodland year-round, developing confidence, creativity, and a deep connection with nature.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;
* Child Development & Learning
* Promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children aged 0-5
* Plan and deliver stimulating, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
* Observe, assess, and record children's progress to inform planning and support individual needs
* Safeguarding & Child Welfare
* Ensure a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all children
* Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures in accordance with statutory guidance
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GDPR and data protection policies
* Inclusion & Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Support children with additional needs, ensuring inclusive access to learning opportunities
* Work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals to implement tailored support strategies
* Promote equality, diversity, and inclusive practices throughout the setting
* Partnership with Parents & Carers
* Build and maintain positive relationships with families and carers
* Communicate regularly regarding children's development, achievements, and well-being
* Encourage parental involvement in the learning process and setting activities
* Professional Conduct & Team Collaboration
* Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive and professional environment
* Mentor and support junior staff and apprentices
* Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice
* Administrative & Organisational Duties
* Maintain accurate records, including observations, assessments, and safeguarding documentation
* Support the day-to-day organisation of the setting, including routines, transitions, and events
* Uphold all policies, procedures, and standards set by the organisation and regulatory bodies
Requirements;
* A Level 3 Childcare qualification is essential
* Experience in behaviour management- knowledge of SEND
* Experience as a room leader
* GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent
* First aid desirable
Hours;
* Rabbit Patch Day Nursery is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
* The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week over 4/4.5 days
