The Regional Clinical Lead Nurse is a senior, mobile leadership position responsible for the clinical integrity and safety of mental health packages across Essex, Ipswich, and Norfolk.
With 10 active packages live each requiring a dedicated team of 10–15 professionals and a further 5 packages in the immediate pipeline, this role ensures every staff member meets elite clinical standards. You will be the final arbiter of competency, ensuring the "Nurse-Led" mission is delivered successfully on the ground.

Role Purpose
The Clinical Lead is responsible for the clinical safety, effectiveness, and governance of MH and LD services. The role ensures compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and delivers safe, person-centred, outcome-driven care.
Clinical Governance & Compliance
Lead governance aligned to CQC KLOEs (Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, Well-led). Ensure compliance with Regulations 9, 10, 12, 13, 17 and 18. Maintain audit cycles, quality assurance systems, and inspection readiness.
Clinical Accountability
Accountable for care package suitability, clinical safety, and staff competency. Ensure all care is risk-assessed, appropriately planned, and safely delivered.
Advanced Clinical Assessment
Conduct initial assessments and care package implementations to grow service delivery and market presence
Risk Management
Lead dynamic risk assessments and Root Cause Analysis. Ensure risks are continuously reviewed and mitigated.
Positive Behavioural Support
Develop PBS plans, reduce restrictive practices, and improve service user outcomes.
Medication Governance
Oversee medication management with care packages, ensure STOMP compliance, and monitor effectiveness and side effects.
Mental Capacity & Legal Frameworks
Ensure compliance with Mental Capacity Act, DoLS/LPS, and best interest decision-making.
Leadership & Workforce
Provide supervision, training, and competency assessments. Ensure staff work within scope of practice.
Safeguarding
Lead safeguarding processes, ensure immediate action, and maintain oversight of vulnerable service users.
Quality & CQC Readiness
Ensure services are inspection-ready, with clear audit trails and evidence of improvement.
The Clinical Lead plays a key role in maintaining a strong Well-led culture, ensuring safe, high-quality care and continuous improvement.

Mobility: A full UK driving licence is required, along with the willingness to travel extensively across the Essex, Ipswich, and Norfolk regions.
