HB Employment Advisor Location: Endurance House, Histon, Cambridge, CB24 9ZR (hybrid working, minimum one day working from home) Salary: £33,597.31 pa, which equates to £15,358.77 for 16 hpw Permanent part-time position – 16 hours per week – working pattern to be agreed with successful candidate What you’ll do This is a Cambridge City Council funded role. Support individuals on the HB project into appropriate training, education, volunteering, work experience, self-employment, or employment to enable them to sustain their accommodation. Support conversion of guidance into progressive action such as assisting with CV building, interview preparation and with applying for jobs. This will include supporting participants when their motivation levels drop. Signpost them to appropriate services e.g. CGL, Resettlement Services, Mental Health Services, CPSL Mind, Floating Support, Citizens Advice etc. Manage your caseload to meet targets and respond to issues and/or alert line manager of issues as relevant and record monthly outcome figures on CHS KPI sheet. Accurately record information from meetings with customers on Cambridge City Council INFORM/Salesforce Homeless Link software. Promote the service to stakeholders and other relevant parties. About you Ability to encourage, motivate and support individual clients enabling them to identify their long-term goals and the steps to be taken to achieve them. Ability to keep accurate written and electronic records of contact with customers. Experience of delivering individual support in information and advice, coaching and identifying training needs Experience of working with socially disadvantaged, excluded or vulnerable people and delivering services through lone working. Experience of using Windows packages (Microsoft Word and Excel) Relevant qualification in the area of Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG). (Desirable, but not Essential) Full driving licence, business insurance and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
