We are actively recruiting skilled High-Level Teaching Assistants to support various primary schools in the Poulton-Le-Fylde area, starting this September!
As an HLTA, you'll play a vital role in complementing a teacher's work. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and impart knowledge by taking responsibility for agreed-upon learning activities, which may include planning, preparing, and delivering lessons for individuals, groups, or whole classes.
Our partner schools need HLTAs to lead classes during PPA time and teacher absences, as well as provide crucial intervention or 1:1 support. This role gives you the best of both worlds, blending class leadership with hands-on support.
Your Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with teachers to prepare and develop lesson resources and displays.
* Cover the class and deliver planned work during teacher absences or PPA time.
* Maintain a safe and controlled learning environment.
* Work with classes, small groups, and individual children to provide targeted support.
* Liaise with teachers, other TAs, and specialist support staff.
Essential Requirements:
* HLTA qualification (Level 3/4 or equivalent).
* Previous experience as an HLTA or in a class leadership role.
* Confidence and comfort in managing challenging behaviors.
* The ability to engage with and build rapport with young people.
* A creative, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting students.
