Full-Time Learning Support Assistant

We’re working with welcoming, well-run primary schools across Havering who are looking for a full-time Learning Support Assistant to join their teams. These are long-term roles where you can really get to know the children, build relationships, and see the impact of your work every single day.
What you’ll be doing
1. Supporting pupils in class, in small groups, or 1:1
2. Helping children stay focused, confident, and ready to learn
3. Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to support individual needs
4. Creating a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment
5. Being that steady, reliable adult pupils can trust
What schools are looking for
6. Experience working with children, in schools or similar settings
7. A patient, positive, can-do attitude
8. Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs (SEND experience is a big plus)
9. Someone reliable, caring, and genuinely invested in helping children thrive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
