Job Advert: Multi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer / AC Engineer Location: Rochester Salary: £38,000 The Role: You'll be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of building AC / HVAC services. This includes Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance on HVAC appliances, with a focus on diagnostic checks and fault finding. You'll also support the general maintenance team with basic plumbing tasks and toilet unblocking. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine PPM and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems. Carry out diagnostic checks and fault finding on AC / HVAC appliances. Undertake general maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing. Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota. Complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time. Ensure all statutory and legislative requirements are met. Provide excellent customer service to building occupants. What We're Looking For: Proven experience in maintenance, testing, and fault finding on a variety of HVAC equipment, including packaged, air handling, and split-type systems. Experience working on commercial equipment (not domestic installers). Ability to diagnose and repair faults proactively. Strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize your workload. Flexibility to adapt to changing work demands and hours. A pro-active and positive approach to work with sound interpersonal skills. Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
