Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialised acute and early rehabilitation to patients in your caseload.
* Support and work alongside other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure delivery of the highest possible standard of service.
* Actively participate in the training and development of junior staff members, Therapy Assistants and Apprentices.
* Lead on service development projects.
* Support the Team Leader in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the Occupational Therapy Service on a day-to-day basis.
* Be an integral part of the highly specialised multidisciplinary team in your working area including Consultants, Specialist Nurses and Specialist Physiotherapists.
Qualifications
* Experienced Occupational Therapist with good communication and a wide range of clinical skills and some experience working with patients with a neurological diagnosis.
* Experience of developing service improvement projects.
* Proven clinical educator, able to provide placements to OT students and participate in the education programme.
* Ability to provide comprehensive occupational therapy to patients, working autonomously and without direct supervision, integrating the available evidence-base.
* Experience at working in Acute Care / Community with complex patients and a commitment to improving patient care and patient flow.
* Practice evidence‑based therapy and enjoy working in a team.
