Quality Engineer
Colwick, Nottingham
£40,000 - £45,000 DOE
My client is a dynamic company at the forefront of innovation in sustainable energy solutions. Committed to excellence and driven by our passion for environmental stewardship, we are seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join our team based in Colwick, Nottingham.
Joining my clients Alternative Energy department, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining uncompromising standards of quality across our product lifecycle.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing essential quality engineering support throughout tendering, development, and manufacturing processes.
* Collaborating closely with internal teams to swiftly resolve manufacturing issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Promptly addressing customer complaints with a focus on effective resolution and customer satisfaction.
* Supporting procurement activities to ensure the quality of incoming goods meets our rigorous standards.
Core Duties: Your day-to-day tasks will involve:
* Offering valuable quality input during the design phase of new projects to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
* Assisting in the manufacture of prototype parts and providing support for supplier procurement processes.
* Developing tailored quality documentation for new product introductions to meet specific customer needs.
* Taking the lead on developing essential quality documentation and activities to support project delivery.
* Contributing to the enhancement and upkeep of our quality management systems.
Core Competencies: We are looking for candidates with:
* A degree or equivalent education in a relevant discipline.
* Experience in a similar quality or engineering role, preferably within environmentally conscious industries.
* Strong skills in understanding specifications, interpreting drawings, and utilizing quality testing equipment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a good grasp of general computer literacy.
* Positive interpersonal qualities, including the ability to build strong relationships and thrive under pressure.
