About the Role:
We are seeking compassionate and experienced female Health Care Support Workers to join our team and support a female client with complex care needs in her home in Glossop.
Care is delivered on a 2:1 basis, 24 hours a day, including nights and weekends.
About the Client:
Our client is a kind, joyful, and wonderfully unique lady with a vibrant sense of humour and a deep zest for life. She is looking for equally unique and compassionate carers who can support her not just clinically, but emotionally and socially—helping her live life to the fullest with positivity and fun.
She is a true animal lover, with a special affection for horses, cats, and dogs, and shares her home with a small dog—so being comfortable with animals is essential. Music and film are among her passions, particularly ABBA and Mamma Mia, and she thrives in an environment where carers can be cheerful, expressive, and emotionally engaged.
Carers must demonstrate a high level of patience, emotional intelligence, and understanding, especially in responding to behavioural and emotional needs in a sensitive and respectful way.
Due to her limited verbal communication and non-weight-bearing status, she requires full support with:
* Full personal care
* Moving & handling, repositioning (non-weight-bearing)
* Assistance with limited verbal communication
* Behavioural and emotional support
* Client has a small dog – dog-lovers only
Essential Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year of professional care experience
* Experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Right to work in the UK
* Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and flexibility
* Commitment to completing all required training

* RIG site care experience
* Epilepsy management experience
* Knowledge of Makaton
* NVQ / Care Certificate or equivalent
