Robert Half is delighted to partner with a PE backed group of businesses in Bury St Edmunds to recruit their new Management Accountant. This is a newly formed role and the successful candidate will join the business and work with the Head of Finance. The successful candidate will be somebody who is comfortable working independently but also willing to help other members of the team when needed. As the business is growing rapidly, the role will suit somebody who is comfortable with ongoing change and who enjoys improving processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Weekly flash reporting on sales.
2. Raising ad hoc sales invoices.
3. Bank reconciliations and bank transactional posting.
4. Taking responsibility for month end adjustments, processing accruals, prepayments, etc.
5. Reconciling balance sheets.
6. Monitoring finance inbox and dealing with queries as required.
7. Assist with VAT return production.
8. Other ad hoc duties as may be required.
Role Requirements
9. Good communicator who is comfortable and confident building relationships across the business.
10. Team player, willing to support other team members as required.
11. Someone who is detailed orientated and self-reflective, taking responsibility for reviewing own work.
12. Improving process and procedures and developing and improving ways of working.
Education & Qualifications
13. ACCA or equivalent qualified.
14. Strong management accounts preparation experience
15. Sage Intacct desirable
