Head of E-Commerce
Location: Barnsley
Salary: Competitive salary and bonus scheme
Type: Full-time permanent – Monday to Friday (no weekends)

We are seeking an experienced Head of E-Commerce to support our growth plans across our websites and marketplaces. Leading our online team and overseeing online and digital strategy, the successful candidate will collaborate with our marketing, customer service, IT, purchasing, and finance teams, as well as manage external digital marketing agencies to drive growth and meet customer needs. This role is based at our office in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities:
* Devise and lead strategies to drive profitability and growth of online and ecommerce functions.
* Lead and manage the online team.
* Develop and maintain B2B and B2C websites on Magento 2 and Wordpress platforms, implementing content and pricing initiatives.
* Manage and expand the company's digital trading activities via Amazon Seller Central, eBay, and Fulfilled by Amazon channels.
* Identify and implement new online sales opportunities through digital marketing and ecommerce landscape understanding.
* Oversee development projects with external agencies, ensuring effective software solutions that meet customer needs.
* Monitor and analyze website performance, produce KPI reports for senior management.
* Manage online sales budgets, analyze paid media and software costs, and report ROI and future activities.
* Drive CRM strategies to increase customer retention and repeat orders, managing subscription incentives.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to optimize product data and plan online promotional activities.
* Manage online product pricing to ensure competitiveness, implementing automated processes where possible.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience in E-commerce management and digital trading.
* Proven track record of rapid online sales growth in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience managing ecommerce websites on Magento 2.
* Solid knowledge of PPC, SEO, email, and affiliate marketing channels.
* Analytically minded with ability to use customer data to inform strategy.
* Understanding of UX principles in ecommerce.
* Experience in agile project management, team leadership, and managing external agencies.
* Proficient in Google Analytics and Microsoft Excel.
* Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
