About the Role: NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a committed and experienced EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a mainstream primary school in the LS15 area of Leeds. This role is on a supply basis and will involve providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of early years development and experience supporting children with SEN and SEMH needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide consistent 1:1 support to a pupil within an EYFS setting
* Support the child's learning, development, and emotional regulation
* Implement behaviour management strategies effectively and consistently
* Assist with the delivery of EYFS activities tailored to individual needs
* Support communication, social interaction, and engagement in learning
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow support plans
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN and/or SEMH needs
* Strong behaviour management skills and confidence working 1:1
* Good understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development
* Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
