My client is a Food Manufacturing business seeking a HR Advisor to work a 15-month FTC for maternity cover.
They are a superb employer (200 staff on site), and you would work alongside 4 colleagues providing HR support to the Plant and People Support Team.
Job Purpose
Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR-related queries, managing employee documentation to ensure the smooth operation of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist with implementing and enforcing HR policies and procedures, including communicating these to department managers for company-wide rollout.
* Stay updated on HR laws to ensure compliance within the department.
* Maintain accurate and current employee records and files, ensuring all employee documents are valid and up-to-date.
* Manage employee relations, assist in resolving conflicts, disciplinaries, and grievances, following proper policies and documentation procedures.
* Participate actively in recruitment processes, including job postings, conducting telephone interviews, and communicating job offers.
* Initiate onboarding for new hires, including preparing offer letters, conducting inductions, and ensuring all necessary documentation is in place for a smooth start.
* Conduct data analysis and reporting on HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and employee satisfaction to identify areas for improvement.
* Perform general administrative tasks on HR software to support department operations.
* Provide support to staff on HR issues, promote staff well-being, and foster a positive workplace environment.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of employee engagement programs, seeking feedback and conducting surveys.
* Support HR initiatives aligned with the company's people strategy.
Mental Health First Aider is desirable but not essential.
Must have significant experience in employee relations, employment law, onboarding, and HR compliance.
