Overview
Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist – Clinical Nurse Specialist role within the South Perinatal team. You will work with mothers, infants and families at risk of or experiencing severe and complex perinatal mental health conditions.
We provide high quality, evidence‑based specialist advice, assessment and interventions. Our multidisciplinary team includes Psychiatrists, Nurses, OT’s, Social Workers, Nursery Nurses, Psychologists and Peer Support workers.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team to ensure women with severe or complex mental health conditions who are planning pregnancy, are pregnant or have a child under one receive high quality, evidence‑based specialist advice, assessment and interventions.
* Provide specialist advice, consultation, liaison and education to professionals who work with women contemplating pregnancy and during the perinatal period.
* Hold a small caseload of the most complex, high‑risk cases, provide and assist the development of skills, knowledge and understanding regarding the risks associated with this client group with internal and external partners.
Requirements
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle – you will need to travel independently around the county and cannot use public transport.
