The essentials Drawing on your experience in the insurance or banking sectors, you will enable clients to modernize and future-proof their data capabilities by designing strategic operating models and deploying fit-for-purpose tools and platforms. With previous experience in the insurance or banking industry or consulting, you possess the knowledge to navigate complex industry-specific data challenges, including regulatory scrutiny, evolving customer expectations, and legacy operating models. Additionally, your understanding of the data governance ecosystem within the insurance or banking sector—shaped by global regulatory demands, global operations, and legacy systems—empowers you to facilitate strategic and technological transformations to enhance data governance capabilities. You will utilize your understanding of regulatory drivers such as Solvency II, IFRS 17, and BCBS239, alongside data management frameworks like DAMA and DCAM, to aid clients in crafting sustainable data strategies with effective governance, helping insurers and banks alike enhance their data maturity, governance, and reporting practices through innovative and sustainable means. Key Responsibilities: Data Strategy Development: Assist in developing enterprise-wide data strategies and operating models that embed sustainable data management and AI practices. Ensure these strategies align with sector-specific regulatory and operational requirements, supporting global regulatory standards. Data Governance Support: Contribute to advisory work by helping clients improve data quality, lineage, and controls. Address regulatory gaps, strengthen internal oversight, and enable greater confidence in reporting and analytics, thereby enhancing their data governance capabilities. AI and Automation Integration: Leverage AI and automation to enhance the scalability and performance of data management and implementation activities. This includes improving data discovery, data quality monitoring, and policy enforcement to support AI adoption effectively. Value Addition for Clients: Add value to clients by providing insights and practical solutions to improve their data governance and management practices. Utilize knowledge of industry opportunities to help clients achieve greater effectiveness and innovation. Promotion of Data Governance Culture: Support the promotion of a robust data governance culture that integrates people, processes, and technology. Preferred Skills Experience within Financial Services Experience in consulting Familiarity with insurance markets and regulations (e.g., Solvency II, IFRS 17, PRA), or banking regulations (e.g. BCBS 239) Experience in transformation programs focused on data maturity and regulatory remediation.
