Job Description
· To repair and maintain the hotel linen and ambassadors uniforms as per hotel standards and procedures.
· To ensure that sewing machine and other equipment are in good working condition and to report on any repair requirements to the Supervisor.
· To hand out and accept uniforms and linen and to ensure that all records are well maintained and current.
· To monitor any repairs to the guest and ambassador laundry required and inform the Assistant Manager / Supervisor Laundry the necessary requirements
· To ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of working area.
· To fit the new ambassadors with their new uniform and make alterations if necessary.
· To alter and to maintain a record of discarded linen and uniform.
· To assist with inventory of uniforms and linen.
· To assist with the distribution of the guest laundry and ambassador laundry.
· To report any found items to the Supervisor.
· To co-ordinate closely with laundry attendant to ensure smooth workflow and to assist them in daily operations.
· To read and complete the laundry Logbooks and reports.
· To carry out special projects according to the assignments.
· To attend a daily line up briefing with the Housekeeping team.
· To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub sections of the Housekeeping Department.
· To carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Laundry Supervisor and Assistant Laundry Manager.
