Health & Safety Coordinator – South Wales & South‑West England (Weekly Travel + Work from Home)

We’re looking for a motivated and organised Health & Safety Coordinator to support dental practices across South Wales and South‑West England. This role offers a career in health and safety within healthcare and dentistry, with full training provided.
The Role
As a Regional Health & Safety Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting our dental practices to maintain safe, compliant, and well‑managed working environments. The role is primarily field‑based, involving 3–4 days of travel to practices within your allocated region to carry out audits, inspections and risk assessments. The remaining time will focus on administrative duties either from a local practice, our Support Centre in Northampton, or from home.
What you’ll be doing
- Travel to dental practices across allocated territory
- Carry out health and safety audits and workplace inspections
- Complete and review risk assessments
- Support practices in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Identify areas for improvement and provide practical guidance to practice teams
- Produce clear and accurate audit reports and documentation
- Follow up on action plans and support practices with resolving compliance issues
- Deliver fire warden training to practice teams
- Attend occasional regional meetings to provide health and safety updates and guidance
- Support with the investigation of significant events, accidents and incidents
- Maintain strong working relationships with practice managers and regional teams
- Assist with general health and safety administration and reporting

- Organised and able to manage own schedule effectively
- Comfortable travelling regularly throughout the working week
- Confident communicating with a wide range of people
- Detail‑oriented with good problem‑solving skills
- Competent using Microsoft Office and completing digital reports
- Able to work independently as well as part of a wider team
- Confident delivering training and presenting information to groups
