About this role:
Here’s your chance to join a team that’s redefining how British industry designs and manufactures. Our client is an independent and accredited specialist in additive manufacturing, supplying end-to-end 3D printing solutions from their base in Reading, Berkshire. Founded in 2012 and now with a decade of experience, they partner with clients across aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, education and beyond, helping organisations reduce costs, accelerate time to market and innovate with confidence.
This is more than a job: the successful candidate will work within a company that is hands-on, where expert-level support meets real engineering impact. If you’re ready to step into a role where you’ll help shape solutions, influence client outcomes and be part of a growing team that genuinely values technical insight, you’ll find the right place here.
Job responsibilities:
 * Work directly with customers to analyse engineering challenges and identify where additive manufacturing technologies can deliver measurable gains
 * Carry out demonstrations, sample prints and proof of concept projects using industrial 3D printing equipment
 * Provide design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) advice: orienting parts, selecting materials and designing build strategies for optimum performance
 * Prepare technical documents, detailed quotes and client presentations that clearly map out benefits, ROI and implementation plans
 * Engage with engineering teams and decision makers internally at the client’s site, driving adoption of new manufacturing workflows
 * Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients while supporting proactive lead generation and new business opportunities
 * Collaborate with the marketing team to develop case studies, application stories and workshop content to showcase real client successes
 * Attend industry trade shows, workshops and client visits to present technology solutions and represent the company as a subject matter expert
 * Keep accurate records of all customer interactions, project status and CRM entries, ensuring alignment with internal goals
 * Support internal training and continuous improvement initiatives, sharing best practices across the team.
Experience required:
 * A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
 * 6 to 12 months (or more) working hands-on with 3D printing or additive manufacturing technology, ideally including knowledge of polymer or composite systems
 * Proven skills in problem solving and engineering analysis, with the ability to interpret a client’s challenge and choose the right AM approach
 * Comfortable giving technical presentations and walking engineers through complex workflows
 * Strong computer literacy including CAD familiarity (for example SolidWorks, Creo or similar) and working knowledge of CRM systems for record keeping
 * Able to work independently, organise your time across customer sites and internal tasks, and travel as required within the UK
 * Full UK driving licence
