Role: Housing and Tenancy Support Officer\n\nBased: Nottingham City Centre \n\nRate of Pay: £18phr UMB\n\nStart Date: ASAP \n\nDuration: Temp 3 – 6months \n\nHours: 30 hours per week + on call \n\nSupporting Futures are recruiting on behalf of an award-winning national charity who have over 150 years’ experience supporting children, young people and adults and of offering direct, practical help to families and communities.\n\nMain Responsibilities:\n\nTo manage and support tenants in dispersed refuge properties\nTo support vulnerable tenants fleeing domestic violence and abuse to maintain tenancies and live independently. \nFacilitate appropriate signposting and specialist referral for tenants to other support services\nVisit women in their homes to identify any tenancy management issues or additional support needs. \nMeeting and interviewing potential suppliers, making recommendations about supplier and contractor allocation with reference to best value.\nLiaising with landlords and being aware of the detail of tenancy and licence agreements for people in service.
\nDealing with disputes between landlord/ suppliers/ Juno about responsibilities / costs/ procedures etc\nRisk assessing pursuing complaints versus potential outcomes.\nThere is a requirement to be part of the on-call service outside normal hours.What they are looking for:\n\nProfessional qualification in a relevant property/housing management discipline OR relevant experience\nExperience of supported housing would be useful but is not essential\nKnowledge and experience of working with local council housing authorities, and housing benefit claims.\nA good understanding of trauma informed service delivery.\nKnowledge of housing, welfare and policy relating to DVA. \nAbility to use Microsoft applications and housing management system\nAn enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role\nAvailable for on call Supporting Futures Consulting acts as both an employer and an agency
