Job Description Job Title: Windows, Doors and Curtain Wall Estimator Location: Orpington, Kent Hours: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 The Role We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team due to continued growth and expansion. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate costings and bids, supporting project delivery, and ensuring financial success across a wide range of projects. Experience with Tecnal or Schuco systems is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities • Oversee projects to ensure costs remain aligned with forecasts. • Compile and present accurate bids for work. • Review and understand scope of works to be priced. • Calculate costs for materials, transport, labour, and equipment hire. • Obtain and assess quotes from subcontractors and suppliers. • Prepare detailed price lists for construction project requirements. • Clarify client needs and expectations. • Ensure compliance with risk assessments and health & safety requirements. • Keep up to date with inflation, exchange rates, and cost projections. • Conduct visits to proposed construction sites. • Liaise with construction managers, planners, and design teams. • Present bids to clients, answering queries with confidence. • Complete work quality submissions. • Prepare and submit quotations within deadlines. • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors. • Ensure timely completion of all estimates. • Communicate effectively with trade partners and internal teams regarding new and ongoing projects. Requirements • Proven experience as an Estimator within construction, ideally with aluminium systems. • Knowledge and experience with Tecnal or Schuco systems (preferred). • Strong analytical and numerical skills. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Ability to work to deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail. • Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness. • Proficient with estimating software and MS Office.
