Position: Funeral Service ArrangerLocation: Lichfield, F M & J Wait Funeral DirectorsJob Type: CasualSalary: £12.87 per hourWe're looking for a compassionate and adaptable individual to join us as a Funeral Service Arranger, providing vital support across a network of funeral homes within our F M & J Wait group. As a Funeral Service Arranger, you'll ensure that families always receive the same warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail, no matter which location they walk into.The RoleThis flexible role will see you stepping in across multiple funeral homes, supporting with funeral arrangements and daily branch operations.

You'll work closely with families to guide them through the process, ensuring each service is planned with care and compassion.Key Responsibilities: Support families with empathy, professionalism, and attention to detailArrange funerals in line with individual wishes, cultural practices, and legal requirementsTravel between funeral homes to provide cover as needed - supporting with arrangements, branch duties, and ceremonial activitiesManage multiple funeral arrangements simultaneously at different stages of progressLiaise with ministers, celebrants, florists, and other suppliersGuide families through Funeral Plan options as trainedRepresent the brand and Dignity in each community with consistency and compassionTrain in Funeral Conducting to assist with ceremonial duties during busy periodsMaintain branch presentation, administration, and customer care standards across all locationsAbout YouWe're looking for someone who: Brings compassion, professionalism, and calm under pressureThrives in changing environments and enjoys supporting different teamsHas excellent communication, administration, and organisational skillsIs confident managing multiple tasks and arrangements at varying stagesHolds a Full UK Driving Licence and is comfortable with regular travel between locationsIs comfortable working in settings where the deceased may be resting, including preparation areas and chapel visitsHas flexibility to work occasional weekendsPrevious experience in funeral care, administration, or a customer-facing role is beneficial - but full training will be providedWhat We Offer A meaningful role supporting families when they need it mostFull training and development, including Funeral Plan Consultancy and Funeral ConductingThe opportunity to work flexibly across a network of funeral homesUniform and all necessary equipment provided28 days annual leave (accrued)Company pension, employee assistance programme, and life assuranceWe wouldn't be able to provide this essential service without our people.
