 
        
        Working Hours 
Normal hours of work are 42 hours per week, 24/7 shift pattern, Monday to Sunday inclusive. The postholder is required to work such hours as are necessary in order to satisfactorily perform the role. 
The current shift pattern is 12-hour shifts days/nights over a 4-week rotation. Average working hours per week are 42.
Main Purpose of Job
To effectively carry out the installation, maintenance, testing and repair of all equipment used within the manufacturing industry. To support the operations team to achieve their target and to maintain health & safety standards. To meet legislative requirements, meet company standards/Policy while ensuring optimum plant performance. 
Key Tasks and Accountabilities
The below is meant to describe the main tasks and is not necessarily an exhaustive list of duties. It does not preclude the need to carry out other specific tasks from time to time as required.
 1. Assisting with the development of PPM systems and the forward scheduling of maintenance activities
 2. Operational tasks to comply with legislation and company procedures
 3. Fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance in a steel work / heavy engineering environment
 4. Applicant conversant in general machine wiring and installation, including temperature control and lighting
 5. Planning and scheduling planned and unplanned work
 6. Liaise with client departments 
 7. Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
 8. Monitor maintenance costs
 9. Improve production facilities

Skills

 14. HV experience. 
 15. FLT, OHC, Confined Space, Working at Height, MEWP
 16. Knowledge of SHIRES electronic maintenance system or equivalent

 18. Supportive for all maintenance activities
Experience
 19. Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
 20. Ability to follow job instructions / processes
 21. A good understanding of the principles of Health & Safety at work
 22. Apprentice trained electrician.
 23. Experience of electrical engineering in a production line/foundry environment
 24. Capable of operating the site based computerised planned maintenance system to monitor and record all works carried out
 25. Have a proven ability of fault finding and problem solving on electrical control circuits and 3 phase power supplies
 26. Be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
 27. Work on a Panama shift system may be required
