Operations is central to Amazon's success. It ensures that items are processed and dispatched to customers on time. As an Operations Lead/Supervisor, you'll gain insights into how different parts of operations function and contribute to smooth processes.
You will be the first point of contact for team members during their shifts, helping them adhere to established processes. This hands-on role provides experience with the tools and systems that underpin our operational success.
Key job responsibilities
1. Measure and monitor workflows, track onsite performance, and communicate shift information to frontline management to ensure operational excellence.
2. Support and train employees to deliver excellent service and supervise their daily tasks.
3. Assist the Shift/Area Manager with projects aimed at improving processes, fostering a safe working environment, and boosting workforce engagement.
4. Collaborate with other departments to resolve common issues or support key performance areas.
5. Utilize data analysis to identify opportunities to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
A day in the life
As an Operations Lead, based at one of our operational sites, you will support your Area Manager in executing the shift plan. This includes conducting pre-shift meetings, monitoring safety, quality, and priority plans, and escalating issues as needed.
Sometimes, you will be the most senior person on shift, providing direction to team members. Other times, you will assist in planning shifts to ensure adequate staffing during peak periods.

Customer Fulfilment (CF) is the foundation of Amazon, handling over 1.5 million orders daily. Our teams manage inventory and facilitate swift deliveries, operating in Fulfilment Centres at the core of Amazon’s operations network.
Our diverse workforce includes roles involving physical product handling and data analysis, supporting continuous innovation and expansion into new regions and services.
Basic qualifications
* Proficiency in the local language, both written and verbal.
* Experience with data analytics and using metrics to identify issues.
* Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting.
Preferred qualifications
