Art is a popular and well-supported subject within the school, with strong GCSE and A Level outcomes and regular exhibitions celebrating pupil work.
The department delivers a broad curriculum across fine art, mixed media, ceramics, textiles, and digital art. The technician will play a key role in maintaining studio spaces and supporting practical delivery.
The Role
* Preparing materials and specialist resources for lessons across KS3–KS5
* Maintaining art studios, kilns, printing presses, and specialist equipment
* Supporting GCSE and A Level coursework and portfolio preparation
* Assisting with exhibitions, displays, and showcase events
* Managing stock of specialist materials and ordering supplies
* Ensuring safe storage of materials and compliance with health & safety regulations
* Supporting practical lessons across a wide range of media
* Assisting with mounting, framing, and presentation of pupil work
* Contributing to the overall organisation and efficiency of the department
