Technical Documentation Administrator
Location: Aylesford, Kent – hybrid working pattern
Temporary contract – 6 months
Are you a detail-focused professional looking to develop your career within technical administration and customer support? We are seeking a Technical Documentation Administrator to join a busy research and development environment, where you will play an important role in maintaining documentation, supporting compliance requirements, and handling customer requests.
The Role
This is a varied role that combines customer communication with technical accuracy. You will be responsible for preparing and issuing key documentation, managing inbox queries, and ensuring the smooth flow of information between departments. You will also provide support to project-based tasks, giving you exposure to a wide range of responsibilities within a technical setting.
Key Duties
1. Preparing and issuing customer statements such as ingredient, origin, and compliance documents
2. Coordinating and sending certificates required by clients
3. Generating and maintaining Safety Data Sheets and ensuring information is correctly entered into internal systems
4. Supporting ongoing technical projects, including updates to product documentation and coding systems
5. Logging and tracking customer requests, ensuring timely responses
6. Managing a shared technical inbox and escalating queries where required
7. Assisting with monthly reporting and providing general support to the wider team
About You
8. Proven administrative experience within the scientific industry
9. Knowledge or experience in Quality and Regulatory processes would be an advantage
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
11. Organised, methodical and able to work with accuracy and attention to detail
12. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
13. Previous experience in a technical, quality or food industry setting would be an advantage
