Job Description
Reporting directly into the Managing Partner and spearheading the finance function, the Chief Financial Officer's main duties and responsibilities will include the following:
Lead the development and execution of short term and long term financial strategy aligned with firm objectives
1. Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on financial implications of business decisions
2. Oversee all finance, accounting, billing, collections, payroll and treasury functions
3. Establish and monitor profitability targets at the firm and practice group level
4. Analyze practice performance, pricing structures, billing rates and realization
5. Prepare and present detailed financial reporting to executive and shareholder leadership
6. Manage annual budgeting, forecasting and long range financial planning processes
7. Monitor overhead costs including staffing, real estate and technology to identify inefficiencies
8. Oversee cash flow management, working capital and shareholder distributions
9. Manage banking relationships, lines of credit and debt structures
10. Ensure compliance with financial covenants and internal controls
11. Support analysis related to lateral partner hires and group acquisitions
12. Provide guidance on equity structures, capital deployment and growth investments
