Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential):
* MBChB or equivalent
* Membership with the relevant Royal College
* Full GMC registration and license to practice
Experience & Skills (Essential):
* Experience meeting all aspects of the job plan with supervision
* Minimum 12 years post-qualification experience, with 6 years in gastroenterology at an SAS grade
* Evidence of ongoing medical education
* Experience in inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology
* Knowledge of current trends in the specialty
* IT skills
Audit & Research (Essential):
* Participation in clinical audits relevant to the specialty
Motivation (Essential):
* Commitment to developing a high-quality, cost-effective gastroenterology service
Management (Essential):
* Understanding of current NHS issues
* Ability to develop services
