Accounts Assistant | Hertford | £40,000–£45,000
Our client is a well-established growing business based in Hertford, known for their friendly, supportive, and family-oriented working environment. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join their team.
The Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will support the finance team with a variety of accounting and administrative duties, ensuring the smooth running of financial processes across the business.
Key Responsibilities
+Maintaining the purchase ledger, including invoice processing and posting
+Raising and processing sales invoices
+Posting entries to the general ledger
+Assisting with bank payments and reconciliations
+Preparing supplier statements
+Supporting VAT return preparation (draft stage)
Requirements
+Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
+Experience using Sage (essential)
+Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
+Strong attention to detail and accuracy
+Good organisational and time management skills
