Freelance Assistant Quantity Surveyor – £30m Residential project - Hampshire This leading Tier 1 main contractor has an immediate requirement for a freelance Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on 3-month initial contract. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will work on site in Southampton working alongside an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. The project is a new build residential development consisting of houses and an RC Frame block of apartments. You will as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor have main contracting experience and will be capable of running a variety of sub-contractor accounts among other commercial activities. Although this is a freelance contract initially, this company are very busy and do have a commercial need longer term, so this is likely to transfer to a permanent position if open to that option. Being a leading national business, you will have worked for another Tier 1 company and have knowledge and experience of procedures that a Tier 1 usually has for procedures. You must be residing a reasonable commute from Dorset and have a UK construction qualification. At least 2yrs working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor is a good indicator of the level of experience required for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor role.
