An opportunity has arisen for an Application Engineer to join PCS powered by Rubix. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the current sales team within a technical application engineer role. The geographical area required beingScotland West & Centraland additionallyNortheast England. Knowledge of the Aerospace, Oil & Gas& Automotive industries and their relevant components and materials is vital. A good knowledge of cutting tools and programming strategies is also required, however training will be provided on products supplied to PCS by various suppliers. The ideal candidate will have had experience of working within an engineering environment and has experience of working on their own initiative. CNC programming knowledge is also preferred.
Key Responsibilities
* Support sales team to give technical assistance within End User Companies
* Report to sales team & sales manager on progress of technical projects
* Provide customers with technical reports and cost saving opportunities
* Work on own initiative to generate new opportunities
* Be part of a team that can respond to the requirements of customers
* Provide product training to customers
* The role will also require short periods working away from base with overnight stays away from home required
