Your application should reflect your genuine experiences and qualifications to ensure authenticity and credibility Job overview We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Facilities Services Team as a Porter/Facilities Assistant at John Eastwood Hospice, who are responsible for all our patient and non patient areas. This role also includes serving of food to patients at meal times. Previous experience of working within a Domestic, Cleaning, Catering environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. Main duties of the job We have a 20 hour posts, working Monday to Friday only 13:30 - 17:30 This position is not required to work on Weekends and Bank Holidays but there may be occasions where there may be a requirement to cover shifts on these days. The ability to work effectively and flexibly, both alone and as part of a team, maintaining a high standard of work will be essential. We have in-house training to help your personal development plans and will support you with all of your training needs. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change.
