The successful candidate will:
* Be experienced working with residents living with dementia
* Have a genuine interest in residents
* Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
* Work effectively as part of the Activities Team
* Motivate participation
* Have good organizational and time management skills
* Build self-esteem and stay informed about new activities
Role and responsibilities include:
* Organizing and coordinating activities tailored to residents' needs and abilities, including themed events based on holidays and traditions
* Booking external entertainment providers
* Organizing community trips, considering transport and accessibility
* Contributing to a stimulating activity program to enhance residents' quality of life
* Maintaining records of participation and reviewing resident needs
* Maintaining a portfolio of activities available within the Home and community
* Participating in fundraising events
General duties:
* Attending staff meetings
* Completing mandatory and developmental training
* Effective communication with staff, relatives, visitors, and agencies
* Practicing safe working practices
