Senior Residential Support Worker
Compass Community is seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team in a children’s home that makes a positive, lasting difference to children’s lives. If you are determined, caring, resilient and an experienced Residential Worker looking for a role with clear pathways into management, this role could be perfect for you.
What you will do
* Teach children to build self‑esteem and accept themselves, helping their journey into adulthood.
* Use life skills to create positive relationships, meeting their needs and safeguarding them at all times.
* Engage with a variety of children and young people, including those who may require high levels of supervision and support.
* Hold a leadership role: supervise staff, lead shifts, develop and implement policies, procedures, risk assessments and rotas, and ensure placement plans are followed and education is supported.
* Ensure the welfare and care of each child and give guidance and support to all residential workers.
Qualifications
* Minimum age 22 to meet Ofsted regulations.
* NVQ Level 3 Diploma in’s and Young People Workforce.
* At least 2 years of experience within residential childcare working alongside young people.
* Valid manual driving licence.
