We are looking for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager reporting directly to the HR Director who will have responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the Health, Safety & Environmental activities, driving a positive culture whilst ensuring compliance with required statutory obligations.
The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the Health & Safety Culture Development, providing support and guidance to Leaders at all levels of the business. They will also be required to ensure that the company is a safe working environment for all employees and activities, using best practice to improve safety and minimise environmental impact.
Main duties and responsibilities
:
•Ensure statutory compliance obligations in all areas pertaining to Environmental, health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
•Management of ISO 45001 & 14001 certifications.
•Lead the business in cultural continual improvement strategy and development of a positive health, safety and environmental culture.
•Managing key Targets and objective and driving a continuous improvement programme.
•Managing and development of the Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator.
•Leading the Health & Safety Committee to drive best practices and employee engagement.
•Lead role in the company's disaster recovery plan for Health Safety & Environmental
.
Skills and qualifications
:
Knowledge of Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental regulations is essential and experience in manufacturing and engineering businesses would be advantageous

Qualifications and Experience
:
•NEBOSH National General Certificate.
•Recognised Environmental qualification appropriate to the role.
•Experience in a similar role is essential (manufacturing industry desirable)
Hours of work: - Monday to Thursday 7.30 am – 4.30 pm. Friday 7.30 – 12 Noon.
