Job Description

This work is underpinned by the Centre undertaking work with patient and public partners, undertaking capacity building, education and training, using and developing interdisciplinary approaches and leading the way with the development and implementation of new and innovative methodological approaches.

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Programmer to join our experienced team of clinical trial programmers at the Centre for Healthcare Randomised Trials (CHaRT). CHaRT, part of the Aberdeen Centre for Evaluation (ACE) at the University of Aberdeen, is a leader in UK clinical trials. This includes tasks such as preparing randomisation schedules, setting up databases and online applications for data collection, and supporting the conduct of studies (e.g. monitoring recruitment and scheduling participant follow-ups). These trials focus on comparing different forms of healthcare.

This role provides an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in CHaRT and ACE to deliver high-quality work addressing important research questions, while also offering excellent opportunities for continued professional development (CPD).

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6 scale, 53.33% of £38,249-£45,413 per annum, pro rata, and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.

Informal enquiries should be made to Mark Forrest, Senior IT Development Manager (01224 438188 / mmforrest@abdn.ac.uk).

In accordance with the UKVI immigration rules, it is with regret that this role DOES NOT MEET THE SALARY REQUIREMENTS for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. For this role, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK prior to commencing employment and obtain the right to work in the UK.
