Stores Operative – Wolverhampton
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to join our well-established client based in Wolverhampton on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity offering an excellent working environment and genuine opportunities for growth and development.

Day-to-Day Duties
As a Stores Operative, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Receiving and handling incoming deliveries promptly and professionally
• Carrying out visual inspections and basic quality checks on goods
• Booking goods into the ERP system (IBS K3, transitioning to SAP S/4 HANA WM)
• Managing stock transfers, bin locations, lot control, and inventory counts
• Picking and kitting parts for production, trial builds, and dispatch
• Issuing materials for production orders and processing returns to stock
• Supporting SAP S/4 HANA WM implementation, including training, system testing, labelling, and data cleansing
• Supporting quality and compliance activities, including non-conformance segregation and supplier returns
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards and 5S practices
• Supporting colleagues during absences and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and company policies
Essential Skills
To be successful as a Stores Operative, you will need:
• Previous experience in a busy stores, warehouse, or goods-in environment
• Good understanding of stock management and traceability principles
• Experience using ERP systems for inventory management (SAP or IBS K3 preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Valid Forklift Truck, Reach Truck, and Overhead Crane licences
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to adapt to new systems and processes, including SAP S/4 HANA WM
Desirable Experience
• Experience within engineering or manufacturing environments
• Exposure to SAP S/4 HANA WM or other SAP modules (MM, QM)
• Goods-in quality control or inspection experience
• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / Kaizen)
