Salary: £27,623 per annum
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pastoral Leader to join our team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA).
This is a Grade 6, permanent post working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £27,623, with a full-time equivalent of £32,115.
Main purpose of the job:
* Providing outstanding pastoral care and guidance for a designated year group, developing positive links between home and school, and working closely with parents/carers to ensure student success.
* Addressing attendance, behavioural, pastoral, and welfare issues, leading support for students overcoming barriers to learning.
* Collaborating with school staff and external agencies to support student wellbeing.
* Providing accurate data on attendance, punctuality, and behaviour to governors, leaders, and staff.
* Supervising school activities, supporting staff in maintaining a positive environment, including out-of-lesson duties and behaviour interventions.
About the Candidate
We’re looking for:
* A qualified Pastoral Leader with previous experience in a similar school role and a good understanding of current educational issues.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to all school community sectors.
* Ability to identify barriers to learning and engagement, including behaviour management strategies.
