Position: Temporary MAT cover Y6 class teacher. Full time from Jan 5th until February half term then 0.6 until 31st August

Start Date: 5th January 2025

▪be an excellent classroom practitioner and have a clear understanding of effective teaching and learning to inspire, nurture and guide pupils of all abilities

▪have very high expectations of achievement and behaviour, and have the commitment, enthusiasm and drive to raise standards

▪have an up to date knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales and be proactive in their own professional learning, including working collaboratively with colleagues as part of professional development to continually develop practice

▪be able to provide high quality learning experiences through a range of innovative approaches in order to provide the best possible curriculum offer to learners.

▪have the ability to fully embed assessment for learning strategies, effectively assess, set targets and use data effectively in order to promote learning

▪have a positive and enthusiastic attitude to all aspects of school life

▪ability to establish excellent relationships and work in partnership within a team, including governors, parents and other stakeholders

The post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).

Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application using Form SEC1 (4.C.081). Requests may only be approved by the relevant Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
