*Overview*We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MOT Tester/Vehicle technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the use of both hand and power tools. As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary.*Responsibilities** Conduct comprehensive MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to perform repairs and adjustments as needed.* Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and any necessary follow-up work.* Identify any potential issues or defects in vehicles* Ensure that all work areas are kept clean and organised, adhering to health and safety regulations.* Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.*Requirements** NVQ Level 3 or equivalent motor mechanic qualification.* Full UK driving Licence* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.* Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during vehicle inspections and repairs.* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.* Valid MOT testing licence is preferred but not essential; training may be provided for the right candidate.Job Type: Full-timePay: £31,200.00-£38,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Company pension* Employee discountWork Location: In person
