1. Position: Business Development Manager
2. Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 plus commission
3. Location: Brighton – minimum 4 days a week in the office

We are looking for an experienced B2B Events and Sponsorship sales professional to join the business development team of a successful global events company in the sustainability conference sector.
This is a great team and an exciting company to work for. The position of Senior Business Development Manager needs someone with existing experience in B2B conferencing and events sponsorship sales who wants to join a thriving business that helps drive sustainability across the globe.
The Senior Business Development Manager (sponsorship) will:
6. Lead high value sponsorship sales to shape the success of the company’s global summits
7. Win new business and exceed personal targets while working to team goals
8. Mentor and develop junior colleagues
9. Work with internal teams such as marketing to ensure ROI for sponsors
10. Nurture long standing accounts, creating long lasting partnerships with C-Suite executives and global brands
11. Understand client goals to deliver tailored sponsorship solutions and stay ahead of trends in sustainability to understand the market and competitors
12. Travel internationally to attend internal and external events to support sponsors and ensure success for all
Skills & experience required:
13. Proven B2B sponsorship sales experience within international events and conferencing is essential
14. Experience closing complex sales at a senior level
15. Strong negotiation skills
16. Conceptual and consultative selling style
17. Experience using sales software such as Salesforce, Goldmine, ZoHo etc
18. Proactive and driven with experience in target led environments
19. Fluent English is essential and additional languages such as Spanish would be an advantage
Hours, salary and company benefits:
20. Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, minimum 4 days a week in the Brighton office
