About the Position
Hours Per Week : Part-time.
Working Days: 2 mid-week shifts from 17:00 - 21:00
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time

We are excited to announce a fantastic part-time opportunity for an Analyst 1 to join our dynamic Microbiology team at ALS Environmental in Wakefield. This role is a perfect fit for those looking to build or expand their career in environmental science and laboratory work while managing other commitments.

This position is ideal for:
Students studying science: Providing an excellent chance to gain practical experience alongside your studies.

The Day to Day:

Process samples in line with our Quality Management System

Achieve sample completion targets and meet deadlines

Work closely with team members to ensure efficient sample processing

Understand and respond to customer requirements

Follow COSHH Risk Assessments to handle chemicals safely


The Essentials:

Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records

Ability to follow instructions and procedures meticulously

Good communication skills and basic IT proficiency

A collaborative team player who can also organise and manage their workload independently

A customer-focused mindset with a dedication to providing excellent service
