Role Overview: As a Senior Planner, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of their utilities programme and other key projects. Reporting to the UK Planning Lead, you will lead a team of planners and provide mentorship and guidance to junior members. With plenty of growth potential, this role offers the opportunity to evolve into a management position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
* Manage project control activities, including live updates, impacted programmes, delays, and early warnings
* Report updates to clients, demonstrating proven client management exposure
* Provide internal reporting to heads of departments and board members
* Build close relationships with Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, and Directors
* Strategize the critical path of works to float activities across projects without impact
* Utilize knowledge of P6 and NEC Contracts to streamline project operations
Day-to-Day Duties:
* Oversee project control activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines
* Lead client meetings and presentations, conveying project updates and addressing concerns
* Collaborate with internal teams to optimize project performance and mitigate risks
* Mentor junior planners, offering guidance and support in their professional development
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance project efficiency
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven planning experience in project management or related field
* Ability to thrive under pressure and effectively manage stakeholders
* Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Onsite experience in project management, preferably including large residential projects
* Proficiency in project management software such as P6
* Familiarity with NEC Contracts is highly desirable
Salary: Up to £75k, commensurate with experience
