The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Systems Manager. Reporting to the Site Quality Manager, you will be responsible for managing the site Quality Management System documentation and audits to ensure compliance with site, customer, and third-party assurance scheme requirements for Food Safety and Quality. You will identify opportunities for continuous improvement, enhance compliance systems, strengthen quality awareness, and investigate quality issues using process improvement and problem-solving techniques to ensure successful outcomes of company inspections. Additionally, you will manage and facilitate external audits, review non-conformances from internal and external audits, and identify areas for improvement.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare for audits and review customer code of practice, including implementing necessary procedures for compliance.
2. Develop and maintain all policies and procedures that form the Quality Management System to meet business and customer requirements.
3. Prepare, maintain, and update the internal audit plan for the Quality Management System, ensuring audits are completed within agreed timescales, and support the internal audit team.
4. Manage audit close-out actions to ensure they are evidenced and completed on time.
5. Manage customer complaints, including investigations and responses.
6. Develop and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
7. Run the internal audit system and be a trained auditor.
Person Specification
* Level 3 Food Safety certification.
* Level 3 HACCP certification.
* Internal Audit Training.
* M&S Knowledge.
* Experience within UK Food Manufacturing.
